Jim has focused on the employee benefits facet of the insurance industry for over 30 years. He began his career in the insurance brokerage business in 1989. In 2002 he opened Morrison Insurance Services, Inc. and the firm has been on the Inc. 5000 twice and named one of the fastest-growing private companies in San Diego 6 times. The firm is currently licensed in 16 states.
Jim received a Bachelors of Business Administration degree from the University of San Diego. He has earned the Registered Health Underwriter (RHU), Registered Employee Benefit Consultant (REBC), and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designations from The American College. In addition he has earned the Health Insurance Professional (HIP) and Certified Health Care Reform Specialist (CHRS) designations. He has been awarded with the Lifetime Soaring Eagle award by the National Association of Health Underwriters 19 years in a row. The award is one of the highest honors the association extends to its members. In addition, he was awarded as CAHU board member of the year and received the Excellence in Legislative Achievement award from NAHU twice. He has extensive experience in all areas of benefit programs, including dealing with the complexities of multi-state organizations and international benefits. During his career he has served on the Advisory Councils of every major insurance carrier.
Jim is a member of National Association of Health Underwriters, Vice President of Legislation for the California Health Underwriter Association (CAHU), The Employee Benefit Council, co-founder of the Business Advisory Council, a member and Past President of the North Coast Business Group, a member of the North County Personnel Association, an Advisor to Brandman University, Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce member, The Better Business Bureau member, Lieutenant with the Honorary Deputy Sheriff’s Association, and member and Past President of the Board of Directors for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Carlsbad. He resides in Encinitas with his wife Niki, sons Brady and Trevor and daughter Alexandra.

Sean has been in the employee benefit space for over 18 years. He began his career on the East Coast in NYC working for Metlife and UnitedHealthcare. Overall Sean spent 8 years of his career representing the insurance carrier side of the industry, until joining Morrison Insurance to be a broker at the start of 2013. Working at the large insurance carriers was an amazing experience, but allowed Sean to realize that being part of a local company that could truly help businesses was the right path for him. With that in mind joining Morrison Insurance was the most logical long term fit. Sean had gotten to know Jim while still on the carrier side and they realized they had a similar mindset that would allow for a strong partnership.
Sean has been a long time member of National Association of Health Underwriters, now known as National Association of Benefits and Insurance Professionals. He was the President for the local chapter and involved on a statewide basis. Previously Sean was a board member of Association of Corporate Growth and maintains his involvement with Provisors and the Poway Chamber of Commerce. He assists a number of local non profits in fundraising efforts and strategic advice. These days outside of work Sean stays busy with family activities as well trying to keep up with his three young children. Sean was bitten by the golf bug a few years ago and if not at work or family, he tries to get out on the golf course.

Heather has been in the insurance industry spanning fourteen years. The first ten years were spent running a business with one of the largest voluntary benefit carriers on the market. Her favorite part of her tenure was the six years in leadership mentoring others. The most recent four years brought her to co-founding and running Vice President of sales for a voluntary benefits outsource agency, with a focus on the employee benefits experience.
Heather serves on the California Association of Health and Insurance Professionals (CAHIP) as California Vanguard Council chair and San Diego Co-Vice President of Professional Development. She is an Arizona State University Alumni with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, Psychology, and a minor in Spanish. One of her biggest accomplishments was the creation of the ASU Dancing Devils, a dance team which is still going strong today over seventeen years later.
After fifteen years in San Diego Heather loves experiencing all that the city has to offer with her husband Dennis, and two small children Chloe and Tucker. Her passion for helping others and love of life allows her to attract clients that she can best assist to navigate the insurance landscape. When not immersed in insurance, you can find her dancing, singing, at the beach, learning something new, meeting new people, and enjoying food and drinks with friends.
