Jim has focused on the employee benefits facet of the insurance industry for over 35 years. He began his career in the insurance brokerage business in 1989. In 2002 he opened Morrison Insurance Services, Inc. and the firm has been on the Inc. 5000 twice and named one of the fastest growing private companies in San Diego nine times. The firm is currently licensed in 40 + states and one of the largest independent benefit firms in San Diego.
Jim received a Bachelors of Business Administration degree from the University of San Diego. He has earned the Registered Health Underwriter (RHU), Registered Employee Benefit Consultant (REBC), and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designations from The American College. In addition, he has earned the Health Insurance Professional (HIP) and Certified Health Care Reform Specialist (CHRS) designations. He has been awarded with the Lifetime Soaring Eagle award by the National Association of Health Underwriters 24 years in a row. In addition, he was awarded as California Association of Health Insurance Professionals (CABIP) board member of the year twice, received the Excellence in Legislative Achievement award from the National Association of Benefits and Insurance Professionals (NABIP) twice, and awarded the Neil Crosby Award by San Diego Association of Health Underwriters (SDAHU). He is the Immediate Past Chair of the Leading Producer Round Table. He has extensive experience in all areas of benefit programs, including dealing with the complexities of multi-state organizations and international benefits. During his career he has served on the Advisory Councils of every major insurance carrier.
Jim is a member of National Association of Health Underwriters, Former Vice President of Legislation for the CABIP and SDAHU, co-founder of the Business Advisory Council, a member and Past President of the North Coast Business Group, a member of the North County Personnel Association, Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce member, The Better Business Bureau member, Lieutenant with the Honorary Deputy Sheriff’s Association, and member and Past President of the Board of Directors for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Carlsbad for 25 plus years as well as Foundation Board member. He resides in Encinitas with his wife Niki and has 3 kids.

Sean Greene is a Principal at Morrison Insurance Services with more than 20 years of experience helping employers build employee benefit strategies that support both their business and their people. His career began on the insurance carrier side, where he spent seven years developing a deep understanding of plan design, underwriting, and the challenges employers face before bringing that perspective to the MIS Benefits team more than 13 years ago.
Known for his approachable style and commitment to exceptional service, Sean enjoys turning complicated benefits and HR issues into practical, easy-to-understand solutions. He believes thebest partnerships are built on trust, responsiveness, and genuinely caring about each client’s success.
Sean earned his degree in Human Resource Management. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling with his wife, Janelle, and their family, spending time on the golf course, and making the most of every opportunity to create meaningful experiences with family and friends.

Heather Siems knows that great employee benefits start with understanding the people behind the business. With more than 15 years of experience, she partners with small and mid-sized businesses, with a special focus on partnering with women-owned businesses and women leaders, designing benefit strategies that support their employees and their businesses.
Before joining Morrison Insurance Services, Heather co-founded a voluntary benefits and employee engagement firm, where she helped employers increase engagement, and create more meaningful benefit experiences. As a former business owner herself, she understands the balancing act that comes with running a business. She knows that behind every benefits decision is a business owner trying to do right by their employees while making smart decisions for the future of their company.
The best benefits conversations start with listening. Heather takes the time to understand each client’s business, simplify complicated topics, and be a dependable resource when questions come up. Whether they’re navigating a new challenge, evaluating options, or planning for what’s next, she enjoys helping employers find practical solutions they can feel confident about.
Outside of work, Heather enjoys spending time with her husband, Dennis, and their two children, Chloe and Tucker. She loves living in San Diego, spending time at the beach, traveling, and making time for family and friends. Building genuine relationships has always been one of her favorite parts of both business and life.
